Corregidor Island Tour

Corregidor Island, located at the mouth of Manila Bay, is one of the most significant historical landmarks in the Philippines. As the last stronghold to surrender to Japanese forces during World War II, the island plays a crucial role in the nation’s wartime history. It served as the headquarters of the Harbor Defense of the Philippines and USAFFE and briefly housed the Philippine government. Corregidor Island endured constant bombardment, earning the title of one of the most bombarded islands in the Pacific.

The Corregidor Island Tour is not just about sightseeing; it’s a captivating historical tour that offers a deep dive into the significance of this WWII landmark. As part of your historical tours in the Philippines, you’ll learn about the fortifications, the battles fought, and the sacrifices made by Filipino and American soldiers during the war. The island’s lush green landscape and diverse wildlife contrast its poignant past, providing a unique experience for both history buffs and nature enthusiasts.

After the pandemic, visiting Corregidor Island became more challenging due to the closure of Sun Cruises, the ferry company that had provided regular ferry services to the island for several decades. Consequently, the usual ferry trips from Manila to Corregidor were suspended. This meant that visitors now had to travel from Manila to Bataan and cover the costs for the entire boat ride, tramvia services, and tour guide fees.

To address this issue and help revive the island’s tourism, we have created three distinct packages designed to cater to a wide range of tourists interested in visiting Corregidor Island.

Definition of Terms:

Join-In Tour: This type of tour brings together individuals and groups into a single group, which helps to make the experience more affordable. By combining participants, the costs for transportation, guide services, and other expenses are shared among the group, making it a cost-effective option. Currently, our Join-In Tour operates under this model.

Exclusive Tour:

This tour offers a more personalized experience, allowing participants to enjoy a private tour with customized services, including transportation and guides tailored specifically to their group. It’s ideal for those seeking a more individualized and flexible experience.

Corregidor has earned the title “The Island of Valor, Peace, and International Understanding,” honoring its vital role in both Philippine and world history.
This unforgettable journey is brought to you by Guia del Mar Travel & Tours, ensuring you experience the island’s natural beauty and powerful historical legacy.

Manila to Corregidor Ferry Tour is Now Available

Manila to Corregidor Ferry Tour — Official Launch on March 1, 2026

After four years of successfully operating our Bataan to Corregidor Tour, Travel and Tours Guia Del’Mar has continued to receive strong demand from travelers asking for the return of a direct ferry service from Manila to Corregidor Island. We are pleased to share that this long-awaited plan is finally becoming a reality.

In partnership with Prestige Cruise Inc., a trusted maritime and tourism transport provider in Manila Bay with experience operating day tours to Corregidor and other destinations, we are officially launching the Manila to Corregidor Ferry Route on March 1, 2026.

1. Package and Schedule

Due to ongoing fluctuations in tour demand and the high cost of chartering a ferry for Corregidor Island tours, we are using a Merging Tour Concept. This means we combine individual travelers (FIT) and group tours into a single daily departure — as long as the minimum participation requirement of 30 participants is met. This approach helps make tours more sustainable and gives us more opportunities to confirm a trip

For guests who truly want to see the island but the group size doesn’t reach the minimum, they have the option of diverting the tour to Corregidor via Bataan,

To address the high travel cost and increase the chances of confirming a tour, we’ve adopted a bracket pricing system similar to what we’ve used successfully on our Bataan → Corregidor tours. Under this system, the per-person cost decreases as more participants join — making the tour more affordable when more travelers sign up.

This pricing model is temporary. As demand and participation continue to grow, we plan to introduce cheaper and more comprehensive packages in the near future

Tour Package Rates

(Per Person, Daily Tour)

Group Size Rate per Person
71+ participants $129.91
65–70 participants $141.71
55–64 participants $153.55
45–54 participants $177.16
35–44 participants $200.79

2. Boarding Area

Boarding will take place at Tanghalang Francisco Balagtas (formerly Folk Arts Theater), located within the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Complex along Roxas Boulevard, Manila. This will serve as our official meeting and boarding point.

3. Booking & Confirmation Process

To secure your booking, please follow these steps:

  1. Submit the Booking Form with complete guest details.
  2. Receive Booking Confirmation via email, including itinerary, payment instructions, and terms.
  3. Make Full Payment of $163 per person (based on the minimum 35-participant rate).
  4. Return Signed Confirmation by email, together with proof of full payment.
  5. Receive Tour Voucher – this serves as your official tour confirmation and ferry boarding pass.

4. Why Full Payment Is Required

Full payment upon booking is required to:

  • Ensure smooth boarding – guests only need to present their voucher and a valid ID on tour day.
  • Secure tour operations – ferry tourism is still recovering post-pandemic, and Manila ferry services have historically been limited or inconsistent. Full payment helps confirm logistics, especially when participant numbers are close to the minimum requirement.

This approach follows standard travel industry practices to secure seats and services in advance.

Inclusions

  • Roundtrip ferry transfer from Manila to Corregidor
  • Tranvia bus tour on Corregidor Island
  • Department of Tourism–accredited tour guide
  • Buffet lunch
  • Insurance Coverage

5. Group Size Adjustment Policies and Tour Diversion

  1. If More Guests Join Than Initially Booked
Any overpayment will be refunded using this formula:

Refund = $163 – final rate based on actual group size

Refunds may be issued in cash on tour day or via bank transfer, depending on your preference. This will be finalized once the final number of participants is confirmed.

  1. If Fewer Than 30 Participants Confirm
You may choose one of the following options:
  1. Divert the tour via Bataan, including land and boat transfers, or
  2. Cancel the tour and receive a full refund.$163

6. Corregidor via Bataan Diversion Rates

Bataan Diversion
If the tour is diverted via Bataan:
Confirmed Bookings  Additional Charge
1 confirmed booking   $276.67 extra
2 confirmed bookings  $113.88 extra
3 or more         No additional charge
Inclusions (Bataan Route):
  • Shared hotel pickup and drop-off to and from Mariveles, Bataan
  • Boat transfer to and from Corregidor Island
  • Department of Tourism–accredited tour guide
  • Packed meal
  • Island entrance fee

7. Why We Are Launching This Ferry Service

We created this service and booking structure for the following reasons:

  • There is consistent demand for a direct ferry from Manila to Corregidor.
  • Ferry access has been limited and unpredictable since the pandemic.
  • Reviving island tourism is essential—Corregidor’s WWII heritage and historical significance deserve reliable visitor access.

The Bataan diversion option ensures that guests can still reach the island even if the minimum ferry passenger count is not met.

8. General Terms

  • Once full payment is received, the booking rate is fixed even if prices change later.
  • All bookings are subject to the terms stated in your booking confirmation.
  • Refunds and adjustments follow standard tour industry policies.

9. Cash Refund on Tour Day

If your group qualifies for a lower rate on the tour day, you may request a cash refund for any overpayment:

  • Requests must be made before departure.
  • Refunds are computed using the standard formula ($163 minus final rate).
  • Bank or online refunds are also available for convenience.

10. Future Improvements

As tourist demand stabilizes and ferry travel to Corregidor becomes more consistent, we may introduce a simpler booking process. For now, this system allows us to operate sustainably while reopening ferry access from Manila.

Our goal has always been to help revive tourism on Corregidor Island. You can support this effort by visiting the island and sharing your experience both by word of mouth and on social media.

All Packages
We offer two types of tours to suit different preferences and travel styles:

  1. Join-In Tour: A Join-In Tour is a group tour where you’ll be joined by other travelers. This is an excellent option for those who enjoy meeting new people and sharing the experience with a diverse group. The tour is usually more affordable, and you’ll have the opportunity to explore popular destinations with a local guide, who will provide insightful information about the area and culture. Group sizes are typically kept small to ensure a personalized experience.
  2. Private Tour: For those seeking a more exclusive and tailored experience, our Private Tour option is the perfect fit. With a dedicated guide and, where applicable, private transportation, you’ll have the flexibility to customize your itinerary according to your preferences and pace. Whether traveling with family, friends, or for a special occasion, a Private Tour offers comfort, privacy, and an intimate exploration of your chosen destinations.

Both options offer unique benefits depending on your travel goals. Whether you prefer the social atmosphere of a group tour or the customized attention of a private experience, we have something to fit your needs.
